Holidays and busy dates
- Ramadan, UAE
- The UAE cuts private sector working hours by two hours a day for the month. A cafe sets its own hours for Ramadan and tells Google once, so the old opening time never shows.
- UK: bank holiday Mondays
- In England and Wales the early May holiday is Monday 3 May 2027 and the spring holiday Monday 31 May. Tell Google if the doors open at the usual time.
- UAE New Year's Day and UK Christmas
- 1 January is a public holiday in the UAE. In England and Wales Christmas Day 2026 is Friday 25 December, and Boxing Day moves to Monday 28 December.
- Eid al-Adha, UAE
- Arafah Day on 9 Dhu al-Hijjah and Eid al-Adha on 10 to 12 Dhu al-Hijjah, set by the moon. Kabsi asks five days ahead.
